Our Wonderful Trip to Vietnam

"Our trip to Vietnam was truly amazing! My Linh worked closely with us to tailor our 16 day trip. We started in Hanoi, then on to Sapa to see the beautiful rice terraces and local people. Next was a 1 night cruise in Halong Bay, then to Hoi An, the beautiful lantern city. Saigon was amazing, and we got to experience an evening motorcycle food tour (yum!). The Mekong Delta and Dalat were our next 2 stops, then to Hanoi to fly home. We had private guides and drivers, and the vans modern and clean. Our guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We had wonderful hotels throughout our trip. Everywhere we went, the food was great. I enjoyed working with my Linh and would highly recommend her and Vietnam Travel. She stayed in touch with us throughout our trip to make sure everything was going well. "We did a private tour for a family of four starting in Hanoi, visiting Nin Binh, Halong Bay, - Hoi An, Da Nang - Ho-Chi-Min with two donestic flights. Organisation by My Linh, our travel assistance at Asia Travel, was perfect and if there have been issues to solve at all, we got immediate help and solutions. Using WhatsApp was easiest way to communicate, but we also met in person in Hanoi to get in touch personally. Language was not an issue at all, guides spoke english on an average level and also always in cobtact with us via WhatsApp to keep us informed about current and upcoming activities. Overall a very good experience. Vietnam itself of course is also a beauty and every journey worth! "

Our holiday in Vietnam

"We’ve just returned from an amazing trip to Vietnam arranged by Vietnam Travel. They are a highly professional team and supported us step by step — with their advice, assistance, and help throughout the visa process (as we were required, for specific reasons, to obtain a Visa Approval Letter, which they successfully handled through their expert visa team in just 5 working days). Our travel designer was the talented and professional My Linh. From the moment we sent our first request, she responded with an initial proposal in less than 24 hours, and then helped us tailor our program based on our needs and preferences. She was extremely proactive, always available on WhatsApp and email — even late in the evening. She’s simply perfect! On site, our experience was just wonderful. Everyone involved in our journey — from our guide to our driver, and all the local experiences — was top-notch. The Beautiful North

"A Wonderful 3 day trip from Ha Noi to Bac Kan (Ba Be Lake) and Cao Bang (Ban Gioc Waterfall). Due to my time restraints, Linh (Asia Travel and Leisure Vietnam) put this trip together for me. On my second day in Ha Noi, Linh came to my Hotel and took me for coffee, on her bike of course, to a cafe where she used to work. It was special just to have that time with her and learn a little of her life and her Country. I travelled in a Toyota Fortuner (extra height is an advantage) with my guide, Mike and our driver Than. Our first stop was at the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups, in Thai Nguyen. Then on to Ba Be lake which we accessed via the Nang River and Puong Grotto, on a Long Tail boat. Very pretty area, winding along the river past people working in their Rice paddy's with steep green hills behind them - this is a part of what I came here for. We stopped for a short dip in the lake then on to the Homestay. My hosts were lovely and interesting people. They belong to the Tay People and were all very much involved in their community. Lovely accommodation overlooking the lake. It was built using traditional methods and materials - I spent a bit of time just admiring the workmanship. We had dinner with the family - I can't remember how many different dishes there were but it was all delicious and no one was going hungry! After dinner we walked to a cultural festival (I never did find out what the celebration was for but I imagine that it was part of the 80 years of independence celebrations). My host was part of the musical group, playing his Dan Ting, and his sister danced with cultural dance troupe. Lots of local people enjoying themselves and it was just a perfect evening (I do wish that that I had more than a couple of Vietnamese). Next morning I was offered pancakes (western style) with banana and a sweet syrup, on the balcony overlooking the lake - very nice. We said our goodbyes to our hosts and headed toward Cao Bang, another 5 hour drive, through this beautiful scenery. A couple of stops on the way for food and coffee and arrived at the Ban Gioc waterfall mid afternoon. The waterfall and surrounds are very impressive and with the Chinese Border about 100 metres, across the river, you realise how far north you've come and, also, how much the Chinese express their wealth.....a large circular viewing platform and a about 400 metres covered pathway across the cliff face leading up to it - impressive. They would also get a view of the cascading waterfalls that are above what you see from the ground. The only lookout on the Vietnamese side was unfortunately closed. We then went to the Nguom Ngao cave. I have seen a lot of caves but this one is still impressive. Big formations with large chambers and narrow pathways and waterways. Booked into my accommodation - more hostel than homestay and, as it was the Independence holidays, it was very busy with families and young people getting out of Ha Noi for a break. That said, it was a lovely place to be. It is situated on the Khuoi Ky stream. The stream runs through the village and feeds their rice paddys, which are at your 'doorstep'. It is a lovely walk through the edge of the village with, deep green rice growing everywhere. Next day was another 5-6 hour drive back to Ha Noi. I was dropped off at my hotel around 5 PM - and my trip was concluded. The 'long' drives are no issue for me as I am used to it. The vehicle was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed the banter between driver and guide (not that I had a clue what they were saying). Mike spoke good english and was happy to answer my questions. Linh was great with me as 'my trip' was modified and numerous occasions, by me. I will arrange future tours to Vietnam with Asia Travel and Leisure Vietnam."

Amazing. The trip was perfect

"Wow!!! This company is a full service travel agency! I booked a trip back in 2019 for 2021. Needless to say, Covid ruined that, but when restrictions were lifted, the team at Asia Travel (specifically Vietnam Travel) was right there with my previous reservation, and they even had a few new suggestions. My Linh helped me navigate the options and added so many extra outings to really make the trip special. She was available on WhatsApp during the whole trip which was priceless for us. We had one guide and driver set for Vietnam, from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho to Chau Doc and two sets in Cambodia. In Vietnam, our guide was Vinh and he was absolutely amazing. He showed us around HCMC and taught us many new things about Vietnam; when we accidentally drank drinks w “unapproved ice” while out on our own, Vinh was very easy to work with when we needed to change the schedule so we could recover. In all of the markets, he helped us navigate what was safe for a Westerner to eat, and helped us order those things, and he helped us in Ben Thanh market to make a purchase. He and the driver, Thinh, came with us to the Mekong river delta too, where Vinh shared his vast knowledge of Vietnam and its natural beauty. He ordered for us at the restaurants and then left us to enjoy our meals knowing we ordered correctly. Vinh and Thinh saw us off right to the boat that would take us into Cambodia. In Cambodia we had two separate sets of guides & drivers. At our first stop, Vichet “Chet”, helped us to get a SIM card for Cambodia, then took us to change some money, gave us a driving tour of Phnom Penh, and took us to the hotel. The next day he took us to see S-21 and the Killing Fields before taking us to the airport for our flight to Siem Reap. We only had one night in Phnom Penh - in a gorgeous hotel chosen by My Linh. In Siem reap we had Narin as a guide and he was wonderful! Narin took us to Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, and Ta Prahm Temple, recommended some amazing restaurants, took us to Tonle Sap lake for a boat ride, and even joined us for our last meal in Cambodia at a wonderful restaurant with grilled meats. The experience was completely authentic and we were lucky to have Narin with us. This tour company is top notch. We had a truly amazing experience. My Linh even set up a hot air balloon ride in Siem reap where we saw the sun rise over the temples in the jungles of the countryside. If you are looking for an authentic look at these two beautiful countries this company will give you that and make memories that last forever."
