Vietnam: Bay To The Beach - 12 Days

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival.
Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam's bustling colonial capital. Your guide will meet you when you touch down at Noi Bai International Airport and you’ll be taken to your hotel. Check in and spend the rest of time at your leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour.
Today is a full day to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. Start with a visit to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam. Follow it with one of the city's museums (a choice between the Hoa Lo Prison, the History Museum and the Ethnology Museum). In the afternoon, transfer to the Ba Dinh Square, where stands the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, who led Vietnam to its independence from French colonial rule. This site has become an important city landmark and a perfect place to learn more about Vietnam’s rich history. From there, wander through the beautiful surrounding gardens toward the One Pillar Pagoda and Presidential Palace, where a replica of Ho Chi Minh’s simple working space is on display. Stop by the West Lake to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda. Later, disembark at the ancient city gate of O Quan Chuong, and then continue walking to Thanh Ha local market and through bustling streets & alleys.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise.

Halong Bay is one of the most loved spots in Vietnam for a reason - it's gorgeous. On this Halong Bay tour, we take you away from the hectic pace of life in Hanoi and introduce you to the tranquil, beautiful Halong Bay... Following breakfast, journey east through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta to Halong Bay, truly one of Vietnam's most scenic impressive sights. On arrival you are welcomed onboard a traditional junk. Settle into a private comfortable cabin and unpack for a two-day cruise around Halong Bay. Along the way, enjoy a huge lunch served on board and admire the picturesque scenery of islands.
In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing, on-board activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Danang.
Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea and light breakfast, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk and check-out of your cabin as you navigate back to Halong City. It’s time for you to take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of the bay. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Your driver will meet you at the dock and take you to Noi Bai Airport of Hanoi for your in-country flight to Danang. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will meet you and take you to your hotel. Check-in and enjoy your time at leisure.

Day 5: Danang – Hoian Walking Tour.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive 30km to Hoian Ancient Town. Join us on a guided walking tour through the narrow winding streets of Hoian Ancient Town Centre, visiting its highlights such as Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year old Tan Ky ancestral house and the famous Japanese Bridge. Enjoy lunch in one of Hoian’s finest restaurants then transfer back to your hotel in Danang.
Rest of the day, free at your leisure on the swimming pool or beach.

Day 6: Danang – Free at leisure.
Take a break from sightseeing excursions, today you are free at leisure for beach relaxation and recharge your “battery” for the second leg of the journey. Enjoy the crystal clear water of the East Sea or splash into the water of hotel’s pool. You can also choose to add optional tours at surcharge with us to visit Danang highlights such as Ba Na Hills (with Golden Bridge) Mable Mountains, Son Tra Peninsula, or Cham Museum, etc. Kindly contact us to check the availability and surcharge for excursions.

Day 7: Danang – Fly to Saigon.
Have breakfast at the hotel then drive to the airport to catch your flight to Vietnam’s modern metropolis: Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Arrive in the late morning and enjoy an orientation tour through Ho Chi Minh City’s bustling streets en route to the hotel. Have lunch at a downtown restaurant of your choosing then set out on a guided city tour. In the afternoon, you will visit such sites as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 8: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Can Tho.
After breakfast, you leave Saigon and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Arrive in Cai Be at around 11:00 AM and start your tour of the delta with a private cruise to visit Cai Be, which was famous as the floating market, passing by a beautiful cathedral. Proceed to local cottage industries, home factories to see how rice paste, rice cookies and coconut candies are made, along with the longan fruit drying process. Sail along some of the Mekong’s innumerable branches and creeks and visit local orchards and an ancient house over 170 years old built by the French. Then cross Tien Giang River, one of the two large “arms” of the Mekong, by motorized boat to visit some fluvial islands and explore the countryside by bicycle. Your driver will be waiting for you on the other side of the river to take you on a 45-minute journey to the largest city in the Mekong: Can Tho, a buzzing town with a lively waterfront and a colorful mix of narrow back streets that make for some rewarding exploration. Rest of the day, you are at leisure.

Day 9: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Fly to Phu Quoc.
Wake early and leave the hotel to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market by motor boat. Experience the daily life of the Mekong River Delta as vendors from around the region gather to sell fresh fruits, local delicacies and handmade goods. Transfer to Can Tho’s airport for the flight to Phu Quoc Island. And what a quiet tropical paradise! On arrival in Phu Quoc be transferred to the chosen hotel by the scheduled shuttle bus.

Day 10: Phu Quoc – Free at leisure.
Today you are at leisure on beach. Obviously, the beaches around the island are pristine with clear crystal water. Further onshore, coconut palms and tropical forests feature a huge evergreen area. Apart from enjoying a complete relax in fine beach hotels and resorts, you can also cruise to the nearby islets for snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving or hiking along the dirt tracks and paths through the pepper and cashew plantations to explore the Island’s natural beauty of sun-drenched beaches, vivid marine life, tropical forests and verdant countryside.

Day 11: Phu Quoc – Free at leisure.
Another day is exclusively yours to enjoy on the beaches of Phu Quoc Island, before finally returning home, full of newly made memories for the whole family.

Day 12: Phu Quoc – Fly to Saigon – Departure.
Spend the morning is at leisure before checking out. Depending on the departure flight to Saigon, be transferred by the resort’s scheduled shuttle bus.
