Day 1: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi.
Our tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Bangkok and drive to Kanchanaburi. Visit Thailand–Burma Railway Centre. This interactive museum and research facility is dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway. You will also visit Allied War Cemetery, which is a memorial to some 6000 allied prisoners of war during WWII who perished along the railway line, later known as 'The Death Railway'. Postwar, these POWs were transferred to this eternal resting place. Spend some time at the worldfamous Bridge over the River Kwai, a part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs.
In the afternoon, take a long–tailed boat upstream to visit nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village and Temple. The Mon people are an ethnic group from Myanmar, living near the ThaiMyanmar border. The Mon were one of the earliest peoples to reside in Southeast Asia and have a fascinating history.
Rest of the day, you are free at leisure.

Day 2: Kanchanaburi – Bangkok.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then travel to the Hellfire Pass, where you can explore the museum and hike down the pass. After lunch visit the nearby Saiyoke Noi Waterfall where you can go for a swim (conditions permitting).
After lunch, take a historic ride on Death Railway Train passing over original wooden viaduct. Journey back to Bangkok hotel where your arrangements end.
