Day 2: Explore Angkor Temples.
This full day tour will cover all of Angkor’s major sights. You will start after breakfast with a visit to Ta Prohm Temple by tuktuk. Dating from the 12th century, Ta Prohm has been left largely as it was found, wrapped in trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground. This is easily the most instagrammable temple in the Angkor Park so be sure to take many snaps!
Then move onto the biggest religious temple in the world, and the most recognizable in Angkor, the magnificent Angkor Wat. Built by Suryavarman II, a king of the Khmer empire, the aweinspiring Angkor Wat is a representation of Mount Meru, home of the Hindu gods. Unlike the other Angkor monuments, Angkor Wat has been in virtually continuous use since it was built, which explains its extraordinary complete appearance.
Continue a visit to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire. Surrounded by an 8m high wall, the city sits in a perfect square shape. Enter through the ancient South Gate, adorned with carvings of elephants and four giant faces. On each side of the entrance path a row of 54 gods holding the sacred Naga snake.
Spend rest of the day to enjoy your hotel pool or perhaps a nearby spa and refresh yourself prior to dinner.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei.

Originally called Tribhuvanamahesvara, the name Banteay Srei (or Banteay Srey) is a modern one, meaning “citadel of the women” or, “citadel of beauty”. On the way to the temple, you will pass the superb Landmine Museum, an information center and NGO, which specializes in relief work for children affected by landmines and is well worth a short visit.
